Rtorrent download 1 torrent at a time

 · Hi, This morning I downloaded the latest version of BitTorrent v I had no problems with the version i was previously using. This new version does not let me download more than 1 torrent at a time. If you do not want to download a torrent immediately, and would prefer it to begin at a later time (to accomodate a data plan, for example), you can add the torrent to a specific directory and tell rtorrent to check that directory periodically, if a torrent file is present, rtorrent will start downloading at the appointed time.

Answer (1 of 6): Unless you want one of them quickly (even in this case most torrent software allow you to set priorities), it is almost always better to download them simultaneously. Unlike traditional downloads (most probably provided by servers with a good quality internet connection), in whi. I would set it to 1. The single-torrent performance for checking is very good, but it takes way longer to do 10 if you set them to run at the same time than if you manually check each one after the first one finishes. But that's tedious compared to queuing multiple to check one at a time for better performance. rTorrent: Linux users can download the latest static executable (available for amd64 and arm64) from jesec/rtorrent. Alternatively, use package managers such as apt, yum, pacman of the platform to install rTorrent. macOS users can use brew to install rTorrent. Rutorrent finished time problem Sometimes when I add a torrent using the watch folder of autotools, especially when I'm adding more than 1 torrent at a time, there would be no date in the 'Added' column. But if I upload more than one torrent, the download starts with all torrents I add. I would rather have them download sequentially because the hard disk connected to the Pi where the files are stored is connected via USB and to slow do properly download multiple files at the same time.
